Strategies for getting early strike coins

Shoot, what with the astronomical prices being realized for really high grade moderns, and assuming (without knowing) that the really high grade coins tend to ones that were struck from 'fresh' dies, it seems sensible to try to develop strategies for getting your greedy paws on those first batches of coins. But how? Do you suppose, say, that those who submit really early orders for proof or mint sets get the first sets off the presses? Or, say, that coins meant for general circulation are customarily bagged at the mint and sent to a particular federal reserve bank for further distribution, and therefore tend to appear first in the same places?

Any thoughts? (er, other than 'what a nut that guy is')

I always figured the Mint had a big closet, and the first items mailed out are the last ones manufactured. The "first strikes" might be at the bottom of the pile!

Well, that's the way my closet is, anyway.....
