I'm at 51 days and counting waiting on grades

I started a new submission about 2 weeks after the current one was received, but decided to hold onto it until I got grades back.

At this point, I think I'll just rip it up and never send in any more submissions. This is rediculous.

The only thing worse that waiting 51 days, I believe I've seen posts about others that have waited even longer. So there may be no end in sight even now.

ok, so do you want them to spend even less time grading each of your coins, to get them done faster and back to you? or do you want them to spend as long as it takes to contemplate them, in order to get it right the first time? or, and here's what you probably really want: do you want them to hire more graders, expand their slabbing facility, inprove the efficiency, so that All coins can get accurately and consistently graded and sent back to you in a reasonable period?

I'm there with you at 49 days. But, like you said, there are those around here that have been waiting - in some cases - a lot longer than that. I sure hope the results are worth it!

No coins till Monday!!! Why are all the graders out at shows! That's two more days lost on every submission!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

37 business days, 51 regular days.

If they actually are taking 51 days grading my coins I would be suprised. I want them actually take less than 51 days "not even looking" at my coins, that's what I want. It doesn't seem like too much to ask to get the job started in less that 51 days. If it takes 10 seconds per side or 15 second per side, none of that is going to add days to the turn around time.

Back in the 80's right after PCGS opened and began accepting submissions, there was no economy service and turnaround times for standard submissions ($30.00) was a little over 3 full months in most cases, and express service ($50.00) was about 1 month. Everything is relative.

Why the heck would they pull their entire staff of graders to a show. It seems like there is work to be done in Newport Beach, get that done rather than attend the show.

I sent 7 coins to NCS 3 weeks ago, they came back yesterday in nice new NGC holders... 3 weeks turnaround, and they should have been sent back raw. So I got 3 week turnaround and a $77 credit from NGC for grading my coins by mistake!

Do you think the dealers are experiencing this same level of turnaround???? If so, they could go out of business before they have received their submissions back due to lack of inventory. The old saying applies (Time is Money). Maybe PCGS should go into the home building business, at least there, you expect the builder to lie and tell you 6 months when you know it really will be 10-12 monthsimage

not as dumb as missing some pretty obvious sarcasm, meant to frame a point made a couple of sentences later. guess I should have included a winky image
