1884-S Morgan

1884-S Morgan
This may have been a very smart buy for $1500 for those bold at heart. What do you think?

This date increases in price too quickly in grades above AU-50 for me to gamble on it unless it's in a reputable slab. "MS-60" or better 1884-S Morgans have long been a money-maker for ACG dealers, because of the huge jumps in price with each grading point.
I hope the buyer has a happy ending to this auction. I certainly wouldn't be so courageous (even at half of CDN ask in MS-60).
There was a Member complaining about how he was treated with a couple of gold coins purchased from this seller. I don't recall the specifics, though I remember the coins were overgraded and returned. Then the deal went way south. I think I might pass.
1) It is not an MS coin IMO
2) It looks like it was way overdipped and washed out in those pics
3) It also looks to be lightly cleaned in those pics
4) I can't tell from those fuzzy pics if that is even a genuine 84-S (probably is though)
L@@K!
I think you'd be better off putting $1500 on Red on the roulette table.

I like the all sales final, does not say anything about it being cleaned, whizzed, altered, ect...
for me PASS!
