<< <i>is it libel or slander if it's in writing? >>
Slander is always oral.
Libel traditionally was written, but in the last 50 years or so some oral defamation has been considered libel in some jurisdictions - typically broadcast radio or television that has an element of permanence that mere speech doesn't.
I was just accused of selling a fake note in my feedback. I know the note is genuine I bought it from a major auction. The buyers an idiot and wanted a $500 note for 180 bucks. I was going to attempt compromise but he slammed me before I could . The auction only ended 12 days ago.
I think he meant that the note was $180, but the buyer, when he got it, wanted a note worth $500- in other words, the dumbazz buyer expected to make $300 free.
