Ok, I'm not being totally serious. image I just came across this picture tonight. I unearthed this Jefferson a few years ago. Nickels just don't hold up well underground, I guess.

    hehe.I went MDing in the park not long ago and unearthed a Jeffy.I thought it was really old cause it looked like that first pic.

    It turned out to be a `94 D.

    LOL.

    I shoulda kept it but I think I put it back into circulation after I cleaned it with eveything under the sun.
    I even Dremeled it........Well? It was hard to read the date.image

    Clark - Lucky enough you even got a nickel to register on a detector (if that's how you found it). I have a lot of trouble with gold and nickel if I knock out foil, rust, aluminum, and ground moisture.

    Yep, that's how I found it. Sometimes I just dig everything... that's the only way to get nickels. If this snow would ever go away I could go find me some more!

    My heart skipped a beat when I thought I saw some kind of wreath or something on this one! Come to Poppa! It's about the size of a large-cent. Turned out to be a 1898 2 Kopek. I finally break the 1900 barrier, and it's not a U.S. coin. I wish I knew how it ended up where I found it.
