  • I've never purchased from them, but I have talked to them and they are very pleasant. A husband and wife team.

They actually advised me against buying one of their coins because it was a "Weak D" variety.

We have done some business with them and they are super nice people to deal with. Three thumbs up.

Very nice graded coins. Super eye for quality! Very fast service and great communications. Though I have never bought any raw coins from them.

We've sold to them several times--always smooth with no problems.

I dealt with them once, on what was a big-dollar purchase for me, on slabbed -- not raw -- coins and had a very good experience and transaction. The Mrs. is a delight to deal with over the phone ...

Bought proofs raw from them when I first got back into collecting. I finally had them graded a few months ago, and they had overgraded a substantial number of them by two and three grades. Also, there were serious problems with several of them that my untrained eye missed/didn't recognize when I bought them. (I shipped them all to our Michael, btw, who reviewed all of them for me and gave me a priceless and thorough dissertation on each one, out of the goodness of his heart! What an education!).

Newbie mistakes all, and I take full responsibility for them. That was the situation, though.

However, to their considerable and great credit, they agreed to buy them back for what I'd paid for them, when I called to complain. Even as inferior coins, though, the market had moved up the prices enough by last fall to where I actually made a profit by selling them instead to deal dealer. A rising tide raises all dolts. image

So my advice: they'll stand behind their stuff to a reasonable degree, but look their raw coins over very carefully when you get them! (That advice, of course, applies for anybody).

I bought a 1941 proof nickel (ANACS PF65 graded) from them. Had no problems.

dpoole, why did you assume that Jetproofs was the bad part of the equation? Did you ever think that the grading service undergraded the coins? It was nice of them to buy the coins back from you, but maybe they were so willing to do so because they know what the grades really are and don't care what the grading service said. Just my opinion (which everyone seems to hate lately).

Mark, I am really disturbed by your comment "THREE THUMBS UP!" image

    Numised,

I presumed so because the grades were so far off, and because the grading divergence was so pervasive throughout the group (I'd bought proof sets, 1936 through 1942). Also, it was confirmed to be so after I acquired/applied an education about grading.
