No sticker on my slab?

Would it bother you if you received a PCGS coin from a very reputable dealer, only to find that they had placed an inventory sticker across the back of the slab, and you could not even tell if it had a PCGS hologram sticker beneath? I am afraid If I try to remove the inventory sticker, it could damage the PCGS sticker underneath, if it is infact there.

What would you do?

Just look up the certificate number on the PCGS website and see if in fact the coin is in a genuine PCGS slab.

First thing I did when I received it. PCGS verified the number. No problem there.

Have you tried Goo Gone? That stuff is great at removing stickers and leaving no damage to the coin holder.

I thought about that, but again I am afraid it could take off the PCGS hologram sticker (if it is there)...If it is not there, that bothers me too.

I don't think I would buy a coin in this type of holder without the hologram sticker.

DHRC does that on all his coins.Just pull it off.The hologram is inside the slab not on the outside.

Years ago, we used to receive occasional complaints about that. We want our sticker on the back of the coins we sell to clients, so that they will think of us when it comes time to sell. We switched to a fairly easily removable sticker, to suit those who don't want to keep them.
