Obvious POS seller. Coin pictured may not be the one you receive? Raw may not be returned? This guy is dangerous. Some uneducated cheapskate will wish he had bought from a local dealer. Rusty
I've bought coins from this dealer and have never had any problems. I sent them an email;
Yes you are correct. The item was listed in error. We do apologize for this. As a result the auction has been ended.

Hi This 1914-D may be a fake. The 9 and 1 are too far apart. I've bought coins from you before and thought I'd let you know. Thanks, Leon Stroup --------------------
Question from: leothelyon Title of item: 1914-D 1c Lincoln Unslabbed Key Date Coin Seller: gopherrm Starts: Mar-07-03 19:06:37 PST Ends: Mar-14-03 19:06:37 PST Price: Currently $41.00 To view the item, go to: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3012121884
The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
goat's link is to a genuine 1914D cent. The other links are all altered 1944D's. Another possible diagnostic to an altered 1944D, in addition to the spacing problem, is that the second so called numeral one (created from the first numeral four) is much longer than on a genuine 1914D. In other words, both ones on a genuine 1914D cent are the same length. An eagle eyed counterfeiter could shorten the second one to match the first so that's not always reliable, but the altered ones I've seen haven't had the foresight to do that.
