My 5 year old wants to do a Type Set!

Went to a small show in Livermore, CA earlier today and I picked up a nice common date Peace Dollar for him that he had picked out. A couple of weeks ago in Santa Rosa he picked out a Morgan. He has seen my 20th Century Type Set album, and he told me he wants to do one. Now this is going to be fun!!

    Sounds fun.

My 11 year old is doing one. Makes for easy Christmas & Birthday presents.... until the easy ones are gone!

My kid came around the other day and picked up a Morg that was by my keyboard and says daddy is that one of your good coins? I say no that's the one I carry in my pocket. She says daddy where's your good coins? I say in those blue boxes right there. So she opens them up and pulls each slab out of 4 boxes, looked at it, flipped it over and looked at the rev and put it back. She makes a little stack off to the side with 5 or 6 pretty ones. Those were the ones she was going to "keep." image

feel free to pm me with your address. I would be happy to send a choice Merc, a proof Jeff and a proof Lincoln to get a jump start.

The only reason I got back into collecting is that my 7 year old son went wild when he looked through my old collection that I retrieved from a relative's safe. Got me fired up and right back into it, and he and his 4 year old brother both have budding collections. They even save their allowance to buy coins. Needless to say it's so much fun when we have "coin nights" when we look at each others collections and trade coins and paw through the Redbook.

Well I'm not sure what "baggers" refers to but it sounds like she's got her stuff together image
