WACoinGuy, No, it wasn't intentional... but, that's a very good observation! Actually, I ended up with four pieces and a fifth piece that flew across the basement, never to be seen again.
jgrech, In case you try to duplicate this project at home... it's not a screwdriver, it's a scratch-awl. One good hit with a 16oz. hammer... there was little resistance.
