Grading opinion on 1964 kennedy

This is currently slabbed by NTC. What do you think pcgs would give it? I will post NTC's grade later.

    image? Proof 68 cam?

After blowing up the pic, is the coin have alot of rim toning. Try another shot with a whiter area around the coin. It does look interesting and where is Russ or MadMarty! image

    I would say it's a 68CAM

Not possible to accurately grade from that image. Besides the lack of a reverse, the coin could be hairlined to hell. No way to tell on a proof unless it is imaged precisely to show the flaws.

I will say, though, that you can safely assume it will grade two to three points lower than whatever NTC put on the label.

  • Agree on the bad scan and lack of reverse. There is contrast on the obverse, possibly DCAM but the IGWT looks borderline DCAM at best. Mark in the fields by the 'R' is nasty. I can't tell you what it is but I can tell what it is not - it's not a 69.
