What is the biggest screw up you have had with PCGS! Here is mine!

You saw this coin last night. It is a 1976-S silver proof quarter I purchased raw. It was sent to PCGS with a group of modern coins.

Someone put a fingerprint on it, so I called customer service and they had me return it for a review. PCGS dipped the coin and retruned it. Can you image my shock when I opened the package to find this coin?


I called customer service, and they insisted I send it back to them to look at it because they don't see anything wrong in this same photo I sent to them via e-mail. They claim they are going to take care of me, but with their attitude, we'll see.

I have now paid more is shipping cost than the value of the coin.

I wasn't going to make this public until after they called me on it, but if this ruins my chances for a resonable solution so be it!

finger prints.i just dont get it.......as if this was not the only one......jbstevens just received his toned proof morgan dollar back........ you guessed it...fingerprinted...... are the graders nursing home patients.........do they wear sun glasses when they hold, and grade the coins......hello , hello, anybody home??????????

I sent in a 1942 Type 2 Proof Jefferson in for grading and I had guessed it would be a PR65. Well, heres the good part: it came out to be a proof 67 to my surprise! Here's the bad: you guessed it! A fingerprint right above Monticello. I, of course, complained and they said I should send it back for them to take care of it. They dipped it I guess, and now its fine.

I can see something wrong with it-there's a bid smudge in front of George that goes from IGWT to LIBERTY.
