What the heck caused this to this Morgan???

    Hey that's really cool! I like weird toned Morgans. An endroller for sure. The straight lines are from where the paper @ the end of the roll was folded over against the coin, the rev is white because it was against another coin, not anything that would tone it
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • I like the reverse....very clean. That might be end roll toning on the obverse, but I'm just guessing. Or maybe the coin was taped down in an album.

    It definately looks like an end roll "type" coin, but something just doesn't look quite right to me.

    I see what you mean Morganluver. Seems like a little tone should be under the flap. It looks like whatever it was it was pressed tight against it.
    I thought about tape but the rev is brilliant to have been taped in an album.

    It's something about that purple hue that bothers me, especially combined with that deep whisky gold. I could also be wrong as the lighter purple in the lower hair is nicely embedded. That's a tough one without being able to see it in person. Your tape theory definately has merit if the toning is legit.
