Did you ever notice... (Where are the ACG and NTC dealers?)

Did you ever notice that no one openly admits to dealing in ACG or NTC coins? However, whenever a NTC or ACG coin is raked over the coals, several "collectors" show up to defend the coins, some even to the point of quoting the propaganda from Accugrade's site. Those dealers are here, masquarading as joe blow collectors. They don't have the guts to openly admit what they sell, because deep down they know they are part of the deception and misrepresentation.

    Think so image

I can see why ACG is upset. It seems all of their dealers are now pimping NTC junk. Naturally they have to blame someone for the drop in submissions.

Right on the money. ACG was probably getting too many coins right.

That's OK, I have my super heavy duty flame proof armor on, and have my two flame throwers loaded and ready to go. It's Saturday Night!

It is the black market of coin dealers. Nobody who does it will fess up to it. They sell them under cover of darkness (lack of enlightenment) and then deny it in the sunlight.

My guess would be they are all coming out of Florida -- mail order.

What's interesting is to look at ahcollectable's feedback on eBay & Yahoo and see who deals with Mr. Weasel and is happy with him.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    K6AZ-
You don't mind me mentioning ACKYGrade in your thread do you?
Just so happened that I finished running off a batch of toned Morgans tonight and I was looking for a company that would grade them so there I was on the ACKY site and you know how you click on links and get sidetracked....found something about a survey:

<<<PCGS/David Hall was charged and placed on probation for 2 years.>>>
Wasn't that kinda like a technicality, unlike the Weasel's fraud conviction in CT?

<<<Of the estimated 221 PNG members, only four have dealt with Accugrade in the past two years>>>
That must be the 4 members who defend ACKYGrade here.

<<<98 percent of PNG members have never used or dealt in ACG>>>
That just blows my mind; I can't imagine why!

    On grading guarantees:
<<<We know these are our weak areas>>>

the Weasel on his weak areas:
<<<we are a small company who has been set upon by a Big Corporation>>>
I set upon a burr one time but quickly stood back up.

The Weasel refering to the CDN:
<<<when asked again recently by a California PCGS dealer when ACG will be listed, Sean Downings replied “we’re waiting for them to go away.” >>>

    The weasel on ACG pricing:
<<<When a California entrepreneur/collector came up with a pricing Web site and publication listing ACG prices along with other certified coins, his Web site somehow crashed and he was soon out of business>>>
When I click on an ACKY auction on eBay it does the same thing to my pc.

    On detecting counterfeits:
<<<we have graded four counterfeits out of 300,000 coins in the last three years. I believe that gives Accugrade a 99.9999 percent accuracy rate, how is this unacceptable?>>>
If the customer hadn't flipped the slab over & saw COPY on the rev their accuracy rate would be 99.99999999999999999999999%

And back to the Homepage for my price info on the Morgs I just finished cookin:

<<<PCGS has paid Mr. Hager $100,000 for his expertise, patents, and inventions.>>>
Probably the best business investment PCGS ever made, huh?

<<<Accugrade™ also developed a course entitled "How To Become A Coin Dealer The Professional and Ethical Way." Over 500 people took the course, and over 100 became professional coin dealers - and all were taught by Mr. Hager.>>>
They're eBay sellers and their prefered coin is now in the PCI & NTC holder.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • What really annoys me these days is how people title their eBay auctions for ACG, NTC, SEGS, etc coins. They always say "Certified blah blah" but don't specify its an ACG. That makes me wonder if it is certified by NGC PCGS or ANACS so ofcourse, I click to look. To my avail, its certified by one of those crappy grading companies. I find it quite tricky how they title these things now. They know that very few will click on something if it says "NTC" or "ACG" in the title. image

Yes, one must always be on their guard. They are very powerful demons and can take the shape of an average collector. They are very hard to sniff out.

It is my sincere hope that the coin posse will deal with the likes of Alan Hagar at some point....

Detecting counterfeits—we have graded four counterfeits out of 300,000 coins in the last three years. I believe that gives Accugrade a 99.9999 percent accuracy rate, we have resolved three and one is pending, how is this unacceptable?

    This is hilarious.

I sell them every once in awhile -> my latest ->

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10768&item=3007859039&rd=1NTC crap I sold

I also have a submission in at ICG right now, and my next submission will be NTC.
Turn around times, cost, and value of coin are taken into account when deciding where I submit.

oh no - my secret is out, I use a dragon flamethrower to add color to some of my coins ( don't tell the AT police )
  • I recently won a Redfield on ebay from a seller who deals pretty exclusively in ACG, gold PCI, etc. When I received my package, included was a 2 page color brochure from ACG discussing most of the dirt discussed on this forum as well as a submission form. Entertaining reading.

Do you have a way to scan that propaganda? I would love to see it. Must be what some of these "collectors" have been quoting here.

Sinin1- I appreciate your honesty. I sure wouldn't "flame" you for it.

That is a gorgeous MS-65 toned Peace Dollar. Did you make the coin?

Not right now...but if you read Dog97's post above, it's a rehash of that.
