Package for sending to grade

I have some modern coins that I would like to have graded. I have several coin that are in US Mint plastic holders. Can I send the holder or do I have break it out then send it. I'm afraid that I would damage it trying to remove it from the holder, or have a trace amout of handsoap on my fingers and get a huge rainbow on the coin. The coins that I am talking about inparticular are Silver Eagles and Proof coins
