i was bored and looking at submissions and ran across this one. looks like this guy has been pretty busy with the blade! not sure some of the 9's and 10's are cut but just got through!?!?

That's the exact reason that I collect PSA cards, crap like that. Why would somebody trim $10 cards then waste another $5-$10 to grade them. Sad thing is, that trimmed crap will wind up on Ebay selling as "Mint" cards and will probably be submitted 10 more times by unsuspecting people before somebody finally throws it away. I always destroy any cards that are obviously trimmed because even if I am honest and sell them as "Trimmed", somebody else will use it to screw somebody on EBay. I take the loss, no matter how big, just for the sake of the hobby.

That's a great policy. We can only hope that there are more out there who do that. I learned about trimmed cards on my first PSA submission. As a new graded card collector, at the time I wasn't looking at the size of the card. Luckily, I only had one come back with "EVID TRIM" on the label and it was a $10 raw common card. I was so sure it would be the first PSA 10 graded with no 9's at the time. I still have the card in the card saver it was submitted in with the PSA label on it. I'll hang on to it as a reminder, but wouldn't ever think of putting it back into the pool for some other poor guy to have the same thing happen. I have since learned to look at the card dimensions on any card that I think is worthy of submission.

I guess with raw vintage cards from ebay, if you think you've hit the jackpot with a possible PSA 10, you'd better really inspect the card closely, especially for trimming.
