Guess the grade: walking liberty half

We've had lots of morgan dollars and such, I thought we'd do something a bit different. This was a coin I bought back in december and got slabbed in January. So far, it's the best pic I've taken!

  • I think the reverse is MS66, not sure I would say that the obverse is MS66 though.

    Overall high MS65, IMO.

I would say ms 64. It looks like there are several contact marks in the right obverse field.

I agree with ms64. It is a real beauty with that toned edge.

Is that a scratch on the plastic, or a contact mark, at the "equator" directly above the left edge of "A" on the reverse? Very distracting.

I noticed the contact marks also, but the strike, luster, and eye appeal kick it way above 64 in my mind.
    I am still with 66.

Well, a couple of you all got it. PCGS said this was a 64. The eye appeal is awesome, though. I almost wonder if it would be a tweener, between 64 and 65.

Mr. Kelso - how about the reverse of that beauty?

    Neil,

    I would have to say a high end 64 but I think it's in a 65 holder!image
