I have used a pinpoint torch and desoldering wick with some sucess, but I don't think that you can ever remove it without a trace. I have often wondered if lead solvent (the kind that they use to remove the fouling from gun barrels) would work to remove the thin film on the coins surface after the majority of the lead has been removed.
Thanks, I will try that.......it's not a high dollar coin, I knew it was on there when I bought it, and I'm gonna use that until I can come across another one that I can afford.
