There sure is a lot of red in the Mercury Dimes

The title says it all.

I just added a nice coin I got from Fairlaneman, and noticed the red. There is two new sets coming up in the varieties.

Red Friday has returned !!! Did not notice untill you pointed it out Tony. From now on the eye will be kept on the Registry on Fridays again.

BTW I just did my part to color the page. Put my Keeper dates back into the Registry. Jumped a couple of spots. This sure shows how closely a group of sets are ranked.

    Tim,

I will be happy to stay in the top 20 in the varieties set. With two new sets coming in so high, I hope I can stay in the top 20.

    Ken,

Did you decide to stay with a full set?

Tony one day it will be Full, I hope. Needed to get some Red Up for once so I just put the 4 coins back in that plain will not be sold. Still sticking to the Up- Grade early date decision.

One coming in the Mail now. No real biggie but a date I wanted to up-grade. Outside chance it might be here today. image

My goodness, out of the top 25 sets, 10 have red--that's 40%!

I don't mind too much the "1 step forward, 2 steps back" that seem to occur with my Merc collection. What I hate, however, is the "1 step forward, 3 or 4 steps back" that occur with dismaying frequency!! ( image )

    Ken,

Received the 3 dimes today and added them to my set, thanks much! Just doing my part to keep things painted red. Seems to me like our "laid back group" is laid back in the way we deal with each other, but not in the way we aggressively hunt for Mercs!

Cool Wayne I'm glad you liked them. You did, didn't you ? I suppose if you did not I would have been "Roasted" by Now. Two down and just need to hear from one more Guy so I can Relax, Lay Back and know the Postal Service did its job. I'm always Tense when dealing with the Merc Folks. No real reason but just Teeeennnnsssseeee. image

  • Ken, Just added my two to my set. They are nice and white, like I like'em. Got several more headed in to fill the holes in my set, then I'll get busy on more upgrades. JVoege

Nothing new here, but I am hopeful that the Baltimore show will provide one or two new babies for my collection. It is taking more and more to stay in the top 20. This time next year it will take 90 percent complete to be in the top 20 (well, maybe 15).

Congratulations to all the folks who have been adding!
