1968D PCGS MS66 Jefferson (Ebay sale)

I have not mentioned my auctions here for quite a while, but this coin is a TOP POP #10 with none higher.

Nice 1968D PCGS MS66 Jefferson 5c.

No Full Step coins have been graded for this date by PCGS.

Flame away, I am out of here.

Hope the Jefferson collectors appreciate it.image

    Al,
How the heck can you see those steps. Oh, wait a second, is that a big ding I see on the steps? lol
I posted my 68-D in the other forum if you haven't seen it. I would be interested in Dave's coin if it had a nice 4 complete steps.

    hey leo

i'm not sure if you're poking fun at me or not regarding my assessment of the scan. after all, on my screen the coin is actually larger than a morgan dollar in size. that's at least good enough to give an estimate. i only use a 6x tops whenever i grade anyway. the screen image is only lacking clarity to be able to discern bridges/complete strike.

This is all the bigger those steps are on my screen. What do you have for a moniter, one of those
    21 inch screens?

Sorry about the photo but my current digital camera can not do any better. The answer to the question is that the coin has 3 full steps and all 6 can be seen at the far right and left although 2/3rds of the 4th-6th step in the center are blurred.

    hello dave

thanks for the clarity on the step question and congratulations on the sale price. image

    hey leo

to answer your inquiry, i only have a 17" monitor, but with the size of the image it seemed apparent that the coin was complete to the third step. BTW, with your large step pictures, is that an actual photo size or a smaller image enlarged?? if it's an actual photo size, how are you getting it?? thanks.

The 60x pics of steps is acheived with the Intel Qx3 microscope and is used for presentational purposes.
I don't use it to check my nickels for steps. I use a 5x bausch and lomb and a 16x doublet. I actually need to reduce the 60x pics before they can upload.
