What if i wanted to accept a lower grade than the original on a crossover??

I have some non PCGS slabs that i think may be graded to high. I want to get them crossed and put in a PCGS slab. I highly believe that the PCGS rating will be lower than what i currently have from a non-PCGS grading company.

Is it possible for me to send in the non-PCGS slab, have PCGS grade it (probably lower), and then have it put in a PCGS slab, or do i just need to crack the slab myself and then send it in raw??

And if i do just need to crack the slab myself, what is the best technique for doing so??

Thanks

Coins can be sent in thru our crossover service with a lower grade being acceptable. Use the "Minimum grade" column of the submission invoice and put in the lowest garde you would accept. You do not need to crack out the coin. We'll do that for you, but only if the PCGS grade meets or exceeds your minimum grade requirement. We grade crossovers thru the original holders.
