state quarter p and d two-roll set

The mint sells these at $32 a piece, I'm considering buying a set of Alabama quarters, are these rolls a good investment, will they appreciate in value?

No one here couild honestly tell you these are a good investment. They arent.Least not for the short run.
    1) They,re minted in huge numbers.
    2) See 1.

Buy for personal enjoyment.Buy them posterity. But I,along with 99% of folks here will, say not for investment purposes.

BTW.I have only 2 sets of RI P,D from the Mint.Just because I,d like an example of that new Mint set packaging, and nothing else.
To profit from these you may buy up a bunch, sit on them for 6, er 8 years and possibly sell them on Ebay or something. But its more likely to see substancial profits it would be in 68-70 years.
You might do it for the grandkids?

I would wait for other people to buy them and sell them a few months later at a loss on e-bay, just like most modern commems.

Regardless of their merits as an 'investment', I think ALL can agree that they are holding their value better than the $25 mint bags. If you do an EBAY search of the mint rolls, you will see virtually all of them selling for some small premium to their original price, and in the case of New York and Ohio, selling in the mid 40's. The mint bags on the other hand have many many issues selling for less than their original mint issue price. If you want a $25-$30 dollar 'investment' coin I'd try the 1921 or 1921-D Mercury dime in G4 condition for $24-$27 and $32-$35 respectively.
