An open offer

I believe in PCGS - or at least I believe in what it has been in the past and what it could be again. I will pay a 20% premium over today's market close to purchase 50.01% of CLCT stock. Any takers?
I will pay a 50% discount to today's close for any less than 50.01% You figure out the difference.

But then you would have to give up your share of Legend. We can't have any conflicts of interest here!
Even if you throw all the other universes in the trash, PCGS and Bowers are worth more than the price of the stock.
Assuming, of course, that they can get a few problems behind them.......
Pennies make dollars, and dollars make slabs!
....inflation must be kicking in again this dollar says spend by Dec. 31 2004!

Who are the 10% or more shareholders?
<< <i>Wow! What is that in dollar terms? >>
50% of CLCT at today's close would run $7.1 million.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

WOWWWWW!
Are you serious? A friendly takeover offer of $7 million instigated on a posting forum. That's a first.
I'm sure a few of the larger shareholders would sell...they get liquid. What's your restructuring plan? Have you been thinking of this for a while?

Honestly, I can't see Legend ever being able to submit to PCGS again. I guess that's the price you pay for standing on principle. When it's all said and done, I hope collectors remember the risk that Laura took. For very little benefit to herself - mostly to those who won't stand with her.
She will be able to submit again, someday. But your absolutely right, I hope everyone knows what it took for her to do that.
Coinguy, maybe you should give Laura YOUR pcgs#!

Van Simmons owns another 475,020 shares. David Q. Bowers owns another 243,608 (not so friendly hands). Institutions & Mutual Funds own another 780,248. David gifted 216,650 shares back in 11/99 and another 4,900 on 12/31/02. I would assume those shares are in pretty "friendly" hands, even if they are in a trust. With a total of 6,130,000 shares outstanding, control is pretty difficult.
Heck TDN, those institutions & mutual funds are so deeply bagged in this stock, they would probably jump on a 20% premium!

If that statement is the way things really work, then PCGS has more problems than just being too strict.

I'm sorry, I like what was done with the name on another thread... All I can say is... stranger things have happened in the business world and we'll just leave it at that.

Which has a higher market cap? CLCT or ten rolls of PROOF 70 1963 PENNIES???
(Spare the calculator. It's close, but the pennies win!)
