I just got off the phone with NGC. Interesting new submission tier now available. I am very happy.

I just got off the phone with Mellisa at NGC. She said that as an ANA member, I can submitt any coin after 1955 for $11/coin with a 30 day maximum turnaround. How cool is that. Max value is $300/coin.

Yep, I've done that as well. Though I'm waiting till the ANA show in 2 weeks to submit to NGC. Save a little postage. image

Shorter turnarounds. And last I heard, NGC was beating all turnaround times.

Half the turnaround time, consistent grading and less cost per coin? Can't beat that. image

This is their standard Modern tier. It's any coin including 1955 and later.

Last time I used it, it took almost the full 30 business days. However, that was before Rick got settled. NGC has since said that they are beating estimated turnaround times.

What happens when you think you've sent in a PF 69DCAM worth about $300 but when it gets graded it gets a PF 70DCAM worth ?????? do they charge you more or do they not slab it?

Is there a minimum? Normally they want 5 coins or more...

No. They will let things like this go by. However, if you send in a coin valued at $3,000 under the economy tier, they will charge you the higher tier price.

Which is no problem, I have never submitted less than 5 coins anyway. You save on shipping and insurance. This is a great deal.
