999 Greatest Moments Cards Graded to date

Does #1,000 finally break the 10 barrier image
It looks like my pending submission will have a balloon and confetti parade down Newport Beach.
Talk about Tough ! a whopping 1.1% of cards graded to date have managed to get 9's.
Could be the toughest modern vintage set ????

    Murcer-
Seems like this is an interesting topic. With all the response from the members, this could go on for days. This is the best set and also the hardest set to make. I don't believe we will ever see a true PSA 10 from this set. Too many problems plague this set. I am calling it right now, card number 1000 will be a PSA 8 Munson.

How did you know I resubmitted my 7 ??
  • Nobody talks about it because noone really knows about the set except you guys.
Centering is THE issue, isn't it?
    I wouldn't bet on a ten Murcer, or a Munson eight, 54'.
I will guess Murcer's Munson gets bounced down to a six!
    Sorry, no Newport Beach parade!image

How about a Detroit ghetto cruise instead? We could hang some malt liquor cans to the exhaust of my 74 Buick LeSabre and cruise down Livernois, honking the horn!

Interchanges- Sounds fly with me. Make sure you put the curb feelers on before we go out so I don't scratch those new white wall tires of yours. Murcer, I was talking about my PSa 7 that I submitted last week.

3 14" rims running on the side but not even a Johnny Bench GM anywhere in sight.Bet I'd have a better shot at capping Bin Laden right where I'm sitting than being able to find this card.Someone told me they knew where one was in like EX or VG/EX condition but nothing more.I'll take it.

    Oh, come on now.
you just have to look a little, and forget the "book" when you find it.
Not like they're D-359's or anything

If your talking to me I believe my search began in August.I believe there is one in a shop someone told me not too far away from me but I don't know the shop's name and don't have the phone #.

I'm not really concerned with BV and the price was what I expected it to be.

    Rob,
If you are patient, I will find you one. Murcerfan and I run into these every once in a while. If you do end up capping Bin Laden, I am sure the government will provide you with as many sets as you want from the 1971 Topps Greatest moments set. As for those 18" rims, those are very expensive. Curb feelers are a must.

Well you know where to find me,I've been very patient. When the GM discussion comes up I'm always throwing out the alert message:"Still looking."

On another note,If I wound up capping that SOB - I'd treat every setbuilder on the board to a portion of the financial benefit.image
