Why is Barry Stuppler being attacked by ACG?

OK, I've seen a lot of postings on the RCC , what is going on?image I thought, after looking at nearly 20+ pages on this message forum, that I'd find something here. Does no one have any comments on this action by ACG?image If commentary already exists, would someone please post a link here? Why hasn't the community, and the industry of commercial entities that "supposedly cater to us" beat a path to Barry's door to help him? I don't understand image Is everyone so scared of ACG that they dare not open their mouth's?image

No matter what, this is going to cost Barry at least $50 to deal with, never mind the expense of having to probably go to trial over this. I could be wrong, what ever happend to supporting the good guy?image

It will be a heck of a lot more then $50! Loss time of running his business, and not to mention the lawyer fees.

There was a thread not too long ago that talked about this issue. We're basically all in agreement that what they're doing is completely outrageous.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

The following was posted on RCC by Barry Stuppler today:
    Hager-Stuppler hearing set at ANA

Grading service owner seeks removal of ANA governor

American Numismatic Association members and the public
will get a rare glimpse into how the nation’s largest coin
collector organization handles charges of unethical conduct
March 20 during an open hearing scheduled a day before the
opening of the ANA’s three-day National Money Show in
    Charlotte, N.C.

Normally such hearings are conducted behind closed doors.
However, both parties involved in the hearing have requested
that it be conducted in open session.

According to ANA Executive Director Chris Cipoletti, the
hearing will begin at 4 p.m. Copies of the complaint have not
    been made public.

Cipoletti told Coin World that ANA member Diane Hager
filed a complaint against Barry Stuppler, a member of the
    ANA Board of Governors.

Cipoletti said that Hager claims Stuppler has violated the
ANA Dealer Code of Ethics by having made "unjustified
and/or false statements or misrepresentations in [his]
relations with others by exhibiting a pattern of behavior that
has been orchestrated to damage the credibility of her company,
    ASA Accugrade Inc."

Hager is seeking Stuppler’s expulsion from the ANA.

Cipoletti said Stuppler has denied the allegations and
considers them to be a part of an Accugrade campaign to
    threaten and intimidate him.

Hager is president of ASA Accugrade Inc., a third-party
grading service located in Longwood, Fla.
Stuppler is a Woodland Hills, Calif., rare coin and precious
metals dealer. He has been a member of the ANA Board of
    Governors since July 2000.

Cipoletti said, "This complaint is being handled in accordance
with the ANA Bylaws, Dealer Code of Ethics and Board
    Member Code of Ethics."

Both Hager and Stuppler will be allowed to present oral
and written testimony, and to call witnesses in presenting
    evidence to support their claims.

The ANA Board of Governors will sit as a fact-finding
body during the hearing. A written decision is expected by
March 23. A majority vote of the board is required to
    render a decision.

Because charges were brought against a sitting ANA
governor, the complaint was expedited directly to the
ANA Board of Governors for resolution, bypassing the
    association’s Mediation Committee and mediation
    process.

P.S. I am NOT Barry Stuppler. We just share a first name in common.
