PCGS without grade

There has been a lot of discussion on the message boards regarding whether PCGS is too tight, too loose, favors dealers, favors collectors, etc. As a pure collector, I need a service only to authenticate that a coin is genuine and confirm that it is not damaged/doctored. Is there any chance that PCGS might consider a slabbing service that provides these two functions but does not assign a grade. Presumably, this should also be faster and less costly.

We've been kicking this idea around for the past 15 years. There actually doesn't seem to be a big demand for this service. And...there is a huge demand for grading. So for now we'll stick to grading and authentication.
