This coin was just sold to a client of ours, is therefore not for sale here and will hopefully not be construed as "spam".image

Here is the description as it appeared (very briefly) on our website and, more importantly, images of the coin.


One of the finest Proof Liberty Nickels you will ever see! And, one of the finest PCGS has seen, as they have certified only 10 PR68's for the entire series, three of them being of this date. Wholly brilliant and absolutely superb, with the obverse displaying sky blue color with hints of yellow at the border. Mint-made die polish is evident at Ms. Liberty's neck - this should not be confused with man-made hairlines, is not unheard of for these coins and in no way detracts from the unsurpassable quality of this treasure.

    The marks(mint made or not) take away from the coin, IMO.

    I think you showed me this coin in person at LB, am I correct? If so the color is much prettier in person as it usually is.

    Yes I remember tilting that Lib Nic around, kind of matches my icon except a little lighter if I remember correctly.

    For some reason I like polish lines....seen only on the earliest specimans, adds to the luster, IMO.

    That is probably the most attractive liberty nickel I've ever seen. Truly excellent.
