3 or 4 Questions about ASE's.........

Thank you for this opportunity to ask your opinion.

As a new collector of PCGS ms69 ASE's I noticed that the 1993 through 1996 coins have declined in value by $260.00 in the last month.

I have seen fewer of these coins being offered on Ebay. As I write this post, a full set of PCGS ms69 ASE's are being offered at a BIN price of $950.00, and an opening bid of $875.00 with no bidders, and less than 8 hours to go. I am currently bidding on a 1997 PCGS ms69 ASE being offered by none other than David Hall Rare Coins. So far I am the only bidder, and the coins is going for less than half of the current PCGS daily price guide listing.

1). Do you expect further erosion in the value of these coins? To what factors do you attribute this?

2). When should we expect an update on the 2001 ASE's values?

3). When will we be able to add 2003 coins to our registry?

Thank you for your time.

Travis...I'm not an expert on Eagles. I can tell you there is tremendous demand for them. People love to buy and collect them. Like any modern issue they will have their ups and downs. It generally takes 20 to 30 years for a coin to "settle in" and pricing to become less volitile. You should buy Eagles because you like them. If you are investing in Eagles, realize there will be more short term price swings than with the more vintage issues.

I think we put coins in the Registry after the year is over, i.e. January 2004 for the 2003 issues. Email BJ and ask her. She knows a lot more about it than me.
