Spots on a Millenium Sac $

Is there a way to dip a Millenium Sac Dollar? Is it the same as dipping a proof coin? Or is is like dipping copper and getting that wierd look afterwards?

Just wondering cause I found a nice and highly possible MS68 but has some spotting on the rim.
