Here’s a nice mint set toned Washington quarter.

This is an NGC MS67 1944-S Washington quarter. It’s got what I think is mint set toning. The toning is even, and the luster is strong. I like the looks of the coin, although nice blue, green, and yellow toning would be a bit nicer than mint set brown-grey.

PCGS wouldn’t cross it as a 67; so, I left it in the NGC holder.

Would any Washington collectors like to comment on the coin’s appearance? How about the strike? To me, the eagle looks a little soft. Maybe that’s normal for the date?

Honesty i don't like it, it's a little to dark for me. It looks like a great coin and i'm sure there are a ton of people who would love to have that coin.

It probably is much nicer in hand. Heritage and Teletrade show good detail, but not color or luster. Which are extremely difficult to show accurately. Especially luster.
