It may have a shot, however there appears to be color patches in the photo that may be covering some marks. Particularly around the eyebrow and George's nose. It is hard to tell. There is one small hit in the middle of the neck. There is some chatter on the tops of the eagle's legs on the reverse. It is IMO a for sure MS66 though. It appears to be very well struck and a really nice example.

We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.

  • Grip,

Looks very nice, slam dunk MS66 but I am not sure on the coveated MS67 with the obv 4 o'clock (looks like some contact/rub, not sure). On the reverse, it looks like a nick and some minor rub on the left knee and some minor rub on the right knee and right wing.

Give it a shot, it is very close (if not there, depending on the luster).

That pot-hole on the neck will prevent it from 67 IMHO. Also, looks like there could be a few marks on the reverse. Still looks good, though!

Too many visible flaws for 67.

Is that rim damage at 7 and 9 on the reverse? Also the line through PLURIBUS.Incused or in relief?Die scratch or staple scratch?

PCGS may be tough on it and say 65.
    Obverse look stunning.
