Fights with forum members at Long Beach...

I met several fellow forum members at Long Beach and, as badly as I wanted to, I couldn't find any to fight with.image

I was able to spend a good deal of time chatting privately with a few guys, but just crossed paths with and said hi to others, depending upon everyone's schedules.

It was a sincere pleasure to meet everyone (I wont mention names for fear of omitting some) and I'm sorry about the folks who were here but who I didn't get to meet.

Contrary to what some might think from reading some of the posts, we have a great group here. image

Sincerely,
Mark

  • I agree, we do have a good group of people here.

I also agree withe the kernel of truth discernable in your first sentance....people are more cordial when in person (one is almost
always bigger than the other one...insert winkie here) and are not behind the safety of a monitor.

What an SOB this guy is -- I showed him a toned Peace $ and he trashes it, it's "junk" he says, lousy, not worth face value. I'll tell you something Mr. Feld, I am crushed! I'm considering selling my entire collection now because of you, and leaving the hobby entirely. I also think you insulted my wife when I showed you her picture, but I couldn't tell if you were still putting down the coin or her!

No one to fight with, HA!

I'll see you a little later and I'll bring the rest of them. imageimage

I was so tired at the show, I would have paid 20 dollars for a bed to lie down

for about an hour.Their was just so many people to see and so many coins to look at.

Some interesting lectures, but I was there to have a good time and buy coins. I just did not feel like

sitting in a class. That would have made me feel like airplanenut in school. I am just getting

too old to be doing term papers again.

  • There should be quite a good turout today as folks are off work and no school in session.I can't go today but be sure to drop by PCGS and pick up your C.U. member pins, then high tail it over to NGC's booth and pick up a free slab box and free NGC coffee mug!

Here's my $5; I would like to have an argument.

Very well, that will be $5.

    I just paid you!

    No you didn't.

    Yes I did.

I'm sorry sir, I cannot argue with you unless you pay the $5.

    I already did.

    No you didn't.

    Yes I did.

Times up. If you wish to continue you have to pay me $5.

The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

    Michael/FrattLaw, you said :

"I also think you insulted my wife when I showed you her picture, but I couldn't tell if you were still putting down the coin or her!

No one to fight with, HA!

I'll see you a little later and I'll bring the rest of them"

When you refer to "the rest of them" do you mean coins or that you have more than one wife?image

I suppose I could have pointed out to people that toning is slickly marketed tarnish, but deep down everybody knows that anyway. Even if they don't want to admit it out loud. It's better to just go to the show and have fun.

You should have said something, I'm always in for a good scrap. I'm the same in person, as on a keyboard, and would rather scrap in person. It just has a better effect.
