Dropping Buffalo Nickels in the Collection at Church

I have a roll or so of low grade &/or corroded Buffalo nickels. I've started dropping 1 a week in the collection basket at church. I wonder what's happening when the collection is counted??

No, it's not like that at all. It's just like leaving it as a tip for your waitress. Half don't know what it is, and the other half think you stiffed 'em and throw your Buff. in the trash can. Not many people know anything about coins, and most of those that do only know the statehood quarters!!
