  • I thought about bidding but with the print spots and the slightly rough right edge I could not tell much of a difference with my 8.
Collector of baseball PSA sets from the 1970's & hockey rookie cards; big New York Rangers fan (particularly now that they are sleeping with the enemy with Holik and Kaspiritus). Also starting to collect 53 Bowman Color as I think they are the most beautiful cards I have seen.
  • That's a older psa holder and I would bet that if it had been graded lately it would have gotten an 8.
yet another demented 1971 Topps collector

i'll bet you a c note right now
that if you ask PSA to reevaluate the card
it comes back a PSA 9 with that idiot grader
REZZA confirming the grade.talk about a
puppet following the (unanounced) company line!.
psa no longer stands behind their grades.
makes me want to liquidate my collections.

  • Had I submitted that card, I would not have got a 9.

Then again, that card is not a 9 to begin with

  • For anyone that is interested, I know this seller. We are both in the Little Rock area and he is very reputable and a super guy.

That's great to hear. I guess we can say a really swell guy is selling an overgraded card.

    Super!!!

And Z, pc is correct. If you submitted that card in the holder you'd get a nine too. Congrats.

  • I second or third the comments, it is a nice card but it is not a 9 relative to a lot of Ryan 8's that I have seen

I would agree that that card is a bit overgraded, but it blows away my raw example (EX, 99/1 T/B image)

  • i agree, probably one of the lower end 9's i have seen from this set. don't think its worth the extra $2500 bucks i would go with a nice 8

I don't know, that card looks pretty sharp to me. Without looking at it up close, it looks like it could be 9 material.
