I saw your post Russ and saw these had the zip on them and think they might actually be sealed. I was going to buy from this auction but I think there is no zip on them and how can 1 person have 350 plus sets. Linky
Hopefully there will be something great in at least one. I will settle for some more pretty nickels.
In the other auction you linked he's also selling the earlier years, and I can't tell if that's what he has pictured. Prior to 1964, they wouldn't have the zip code. However, being the cynical cuss that I am, I'd also be wary of that auction. Those envelopes look way too "fresh".
Lori, 64 is a good year for proof sets. Lot's of fun things are to be found. Good luck with the sets, and remember, flying under radar in this group is pretty tough.
Developing theory is what we are meant to do as academic researchers and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor
I believe I just received a nice coin from you recently. Just picked up that 1887 Morgan in MS-65 at the post office - nice golden color too. I guess the color (and coin) bug has bitten you too.
I am using this picture from ebay. Isn't this a AH Kennedy? I thought yes. But then again I am most likely wrong with that as I am with my AT detecting skills.

I agree with Russ, the envelope on the other looks too new. At the very least, I'd want to see a scan of the other side.
Come on over ... to The Dark Side!

Lori,
NTC does designate the variety, but if the submitter doesn't note it on the submission form it won't happen. Same thing with PCGS.
