How did forum members meet at Long Beach?

I spent about 5 hours at Long Beach Thursday, without meeting or identifying a single member, even though I was wearing a badge with my forum name prominently displayed.

There are a couple of threads mentioning people who got together, and I was wondering whether they were all people who already knew each other, or else how they connected. I'm probably going to be there again on Saturday and would love to meet some of you.

I knew some of them already from last year's infamous Irvine meeting. If you want to meet some members, just hang out at the PCGS booth and watch for somebody to log onto the message board. They have a terminal to use there. Once you meet a few, you end up meeting more. Meeting the members is half the fun of the show.

For one show I had everyone paged, "The PCGS Bodybag members please meet at the snack bar". I was surprised the PA guy actually announced it and the expression on the PCGS employees was priceless as I walked past their table to the snack bar right as the page was given.

And, it worked. Many heard the announcement and got together.
(It's more formal now and is set up in advance, here on this forum-).

I guess maybe I'm a member - my 4 'free' gold submissions got returned with 3 of the coins in bodybags.

The main meetings are set up now. Wondercoin took care of it this year and a bunch of us met at his table.

As for meeting others, as long as you can find one member, they can help point out others.

Or you can just be lucky. I first met PQPeace when he was being paged to a table and I happened to be right there.
