PCGS Gold level Club a bargain!

I have been a gold member for some years now and I have always considered it a bargain but now it's even better. I sent an invoice in for one coin on an express two weeks ago and renewed my gold level membership at the same time. PCGS overnited the coin for me without charging extra. WOW. And to top it off I got my free ASE in the MS68 special holder and I got four free regular submissions. Lets see the four free regular submissions are worth 120.00. The overnite was worth 50.00 more than I paid. the ASE was worth 10.00 plus a 10.00 slab fee. BTW it's a 69 in a 68 slab. And I got my free quaterly pop report. That totals up to 190.00 worth of fees and goods for 99.00. This is a real bargain in my book. Way to go PCGS! image

  • I just joined a few weeks ago. Still waiting for a coin I have on layaway to come in, then I'll have four coins ready to submit. I doubt I'd get the overnight service, but the savings I'll get on the submissions should cover the postage -- definitely a good deal if you have some coins you're planning to submit.

It's a pleasure to read a postive comment regarding PCGS. I had very little business with them yesterday at Long Beach, but did notice they were like a bee hive working behind their table. Lots of submissions and from what I overheard, many, many on site coins being submitted.

For all the wrong, they must also be doing much right.

NGC's table was dead- but they did give me a free NGC storage box for coming by.
(To be fair- NGC's always had the worse spot on the floor as far as location. They need a serious upgrade!)
(Second observation: ACG didn't have their table at all, from what I could see!)

    hey pat

why would the floor location of NGC matter as to whether or not collectors were submitting with them or getting information? logically, if you know they're at the show, and i'm sure they advertised that fact, they would have interested customers conducting business. given all that's been posted lately regarding these two services, i find it surprising for either to be slow at a major show like this.
