Man, that ain't no wussy little print on that one. Whoever left that monster hadn't missed many meals.

You thought that was bad, check this out from the Heritage LB auction. "several faint fingerprints"... hardly! This is the worst I've seen and some whacko is paying $60 for it with juice. Even dipped, it's still just a lowly 63. Go figure.

Yeah, that Heritage coin is pretty bad. Looks like it could use a good dip.

PCGS MS65 says it all. A real beauty.
Some really great prints in this thread.
    Thanks for sharing those.

Let me ask this for those that dip coins.... Can a dip remove this fingerprint whithout damaging the surface of the coin to where it is obvious it has been dipped?

Yup, pcgs says it all. And I don't call them prints anymore they are just toning breaks (wink) And it does have a touch of brown they call rainbow. Everything is rainbow Monster these days.

Lucy, if a coin is what I call "dipable" then yes, it can be done without a trace. However, most toned Morgans are toned to the point where you have to dip them several times to make them "white", and then they have the obvious burnt out look.
