    no doubt.
  • Kobe has been the NBA Player of the Week 5 times and the Player of the Month 1 time so far but unfortunetly i have a feeling he won't be the MVP
  • unfortunately i think kobe will get it, even though tmac deserves it more than kobe. he is much more consistent, and helps his team win. kobe has had his streak of 40 point games, but hasnt been consistent, and his last showing was pathetic, he shot until he got his 40, and didnt pass, he even admitted he is selfish.

  • Nobody even mentioned Tim Duncan. Okay no flash, but what else is SA using for talent. Okay Tony Parker's pretty good, but otherwise? They must be doing it with mirrors. Nowitzki is good, but just a little more valuable than Finley or Nash. And Kobe? He's not the most valuable player on his own team. TMac is the other best candidate. KG may be the best player, but Minnesota is only a middle tier squad. Maybe next year if they make a splash in the playoffs this year and can upgrade the team despite those draconian penalties in the Joe Smith (TERP) collusion case.
  • KEVIN GARNETT
  • As of now, I think T-Mac is leading the chase with Garnett and Duncan not far behind. I also think Kobe lost it on that 40-point night.

  • Kobe, I hate Kobe but look what he is doing on there streak.

T-Mac sucks and just pads his stats, they traded Miller and got Gooden and Gircek so Tmac could score more
  • Yes I know Gooden and Giricek are having a good game tonight so what
  • i agree with keith. Kobe shouldn't be MVP. I think it should be either garnett or Tim duncan. Tmac is doing real good, but I dont THINK he should be mvp. If i have to pick from duncan and garnett Ill probaby go with duncan since he is getting more blocks/points.

    tmac sucks? lol

thats news to me...not possible to pad stats by averaging 31.4, 6.8, and 5.4...and miller was only averaging 16 PPG for Orlando, Giricek is averaging 17 and Gooden is averaging 20

and look at the past 2 all star games...tmac was phenomenal...if he sucks so bad why does he gain so much respect that he is double/triple-teamed night in and night out, leaving guys WIDE open, and the other players even stuggle to hit those easy shots...he gains even mroe attention outside when he gets the ball than shaq does inside when he gets it, and thats crazy...not to mention tmac is 23 years old, that could get ugly for opponents..between him and kobe they should bud into some nice rivalries i think over the next 5-8 years...between scoring titles, and eventually nba titles...

  • besides all this crap about kobe, how consistant has he been???
i mean tmacs been there this whole year while Good ole kobe was struggling to get the lakers back to the playoffs.
    With shaq!
who's the best in the game right now ? its always besides shaq, how can u be the best if u play with the besT!? tmac has nobody! well now he has the goods but still
Kobe/Shaq and that talent out there shouldnt be dog fighting for the 8th seed...
if tmac leads the troops back over 500. by 5-6 games i think he deserves it...
Definetly... If they can crack the top 4... then he deserves it...
pull tmac off this team and there the worst team in the nba...
    Tmac will win it...

hey JB i agree on your last statement. should be a fun thing to watch in the years to come

it'sallgooden, still can't get Shaq or Kobe out of your head huh ? every post you mention those guys. But then again with everything those guys have accomplished over the years i understand why they you'd be worried about them so much

and i don't fall for the " T-mac has no one around him " bs because it was his choice to leave Toronto because he couldn't handle playing in V.C's shadow at the time. They could've made a nice duo together
but T-mac wanted to go to another team to be " the man " . He made his own bed and now he has to lie in it. He's got some good young talent around him now so lets see how it works out
  • I think Kobe deserves it more than T-Mac does, he´s been really amazing lately. Of course T-Mac is having a great year as well, but come on, if you struggle to lead your team to the playoffs in the Eastern Conference you can´t be that valuable. Anyway, I don´t really care about the whole T-Mac/Kobe discussion, I think the MVP award should go either to Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett, and even though Garnett might have the more impressing numbers I´d say Duncan should get it cause he´s a great leader for the team with the 2nd-best record in the NBA.

its hard to do it without help, tmac didnt have help the past 3 years...with the addition of gooden and giricek it is a totally different looking team...they are 3-1 with them, not to mention the 1 loss came in double OT...remember how lakers started the year when kobe had no help? that is about how much help tmac had...one player just cant do it...but as far as carrying a team, he is doing a helluva job
