I just happen to have a set sitting on my desk. It was part of a collection I bought. The set I have was put out in 1973 by the U.S. Mint. It states they are medals commemorating the battles of the American Reveolution. So it sounds like there are several kinds. In the set I have, there are 11 medals. That's about all I know.

I believe they were also available in bronze.
A pewter set can be had on eBay for about $25. I might have to get another set because mine was apparently cleaned, whizzed, or something.

they were issued in conjunction with the Bicentennial medals. They come with varying
packaging including a nice album.
"The album is blue with silver lettering and is housed in a white and silver slipcase. Best of all it comes with a booklet, “Medals Commemorating the Battles of the American Revolution” by Vladimir and Elvira Clain-Stefanelli. The booklet contains histories of the medals and the battles."
