I've got to cheer up after last week and i know someone on these boards has some mind blowing barber quarters and halves and is holding out on me, please let me see those pics. It would be better thearapy for me than a high priced shrink or the nearest bar.

Oh, we're being picky now huh? you don't want to see Proofs. Well I'm going to be looking for a nice ms Barber at the show in LB in the morning. But since you've offended my icon, I'll make sure I don't post any ms either.

This is all I got, as I collect worn beauties. Not even sure if it is MS, but I love it for the price I Paid.

  • No offense on your proof barber was intended, i just like mint state barbers because finding them the way i like has been an extremly difficult challange.

  • Sorry,

    I only have proofs too.

Someday, I'll go for the ms coins. For now I have to finish what I started, and that's proofs.
  • BTW,

Tyler, that 1892 half is really niceimage

Hey Barberlover, I know what you mean about finding nice ones. But when you do they don't come cheap, and you have to be ready to jump on it when it presents itself.

This was a late die state. Makes for really rotten coins but that's what's cool about it. If you look really close you can see a die clash sticking out of Liberty's neck & one out her chin.
On the rev you can see the outline of Liberty's lips and chin between DIME and the wreath.
There's a cud on each leaf above ONE.
    Got a little tarnish too.

Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Here's some pictures I found on disk from about a year ago. This coin was totally prooflike. It was lost on it's way to PCGS in the Newport Beach postal thefts last year. I was nervous about sending it in the mail as I knew I would never find another like it. I wish I could find a picture of the peace dollar I lost at the same time. At least I can still enjoy this coin with these pictures I found. mike image
