Heritage My Collection Section.

Just went over into the Heritage Site to check some prices on some Mercs in "My Collection" I'm selling and saw that about half of the coins no longer have prices posted but that "ASK"was there instead. When I had a finest know 29S in the collection this is what I always got instead of a price also. Does this mean the Market is so Hot that prices are changing daily ? Or is it because they have no record of prices like they had a month ago.

Also I noted they raised the prices on a bunch of coins that still had prices showing. Will the Gray Sheet finally follow the lead set forth by Heritage.

Has anyone else noticed this at Heritage with the series you collect ?

I've noticed that on a lot of the more common Washingtons, and clad coinage. I think they base their value index on recent sales and market trends. It may be that they don't have any current data to offer.

    US Navy CWO3 retired. 12/81-09/04

    Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
  • I logged in yesterday and found my collection had lost half it's value.

then I noticed that almost half the coins said "ASK".

there mostly lincolns from the 34-58 set but I was sure suprised.
may the force be with you.

Rob thats what caught my eye also, the collection had lost about 4 Grand. Then I started scrolling down and noticed a bunch of early dates had price gains but when I got to the 30's and 40's Dimes most had "ASK" in the column. Actually the way mine turned out I think about a 2 Grand gain was realized. Too bad thats not Money in the pocket instead of just numbers on a Screen. image

  • I *think* that what is happening is that recent auction sales are out of the current range they have posted for the coins. They do that instead of adjusting thier little price scale immediately. It's happened with several of my Morgans as well.

    Got Morgan?

The -my collection- feature is a valuable tool for managing one's collection. I also noticed
the severe modifications in their pricing section, which I never had much faith to begin with, so I am
not concerned. They are still the same quality coins in my collection. I would not be worried about it.
