This is just plain wrong!

No US coin should be subject to this humiliation. It's bad enough we see them all cut out and on necklaces, but this is going just a bit too far.

  • I hate those colorized coins! My friends are always threatening to buy me one. I don't know what I'd do if they actually did. Probably sell it on E-Bay. image
  • A painted Jezabelle!!!

What a terrible example of an AT coinimage

DOES THE CAP LOCK STAY ON ON MOST PEOPLES COMPUTERS OR IS IT JUST EBAY SELLERS WHOS CAP LOCK GETS STUCK
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • At least it's not a 1928. image
  • A collector friend of mine WILL buy a coin like this for a very good reason. He will put it along side
his set and anyone looking at it can see the various engraving features of the coin pattern because
    they have been highlighted.

Look at the coin picture. Showing a non collector your prize Peace Dollar along with a colorized one for
    reference does make some sense.
  • Texas Toning and a good job at that.SHAME.Snakeimage

  • When i was a kid i had a friend who's parents had to items of some kind of see thru plastic filled with uncirculated coins, the first was the top part of a coffee table but the 2nd one i found when i had to use the bathroom, that's right, it was the toilet seat, what a terrible way to treat J.F.K. and old Ben Franklin [among others] lol !!!
The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

Hey, I saw one where a guy cut out the fields leaving only the devices of a peace dollar. image

    Nice strikeimage
  • I'm probably in the minority here but its different enough that I kind of like it... Now if it was an 1893 S Morgan, I might have a little different opinion.

Whoever colored it did a pretty nice job. I won't be bidding on it.

I think that this looks better than the SAE's or Franklin halfs with the picture of Dale Earnhardt superimposed on them.

gotta admit that i have no desire to own 1, but it doesn't bother me a bit. what else are you gonna do w/ a au peace dollar? you can't sell it for more than 5 bucks as is.

personally, i applaud it. it's capitalist ingenuity at it's best. it doesn't matter that i don't collect 'em - others might.
