if you have a high grade pcgs coin and a high grade ncg
coin of the same series (and grade) but not date, but the date
is similiar as far as series strike ect.. so they would be graded to the same
standards. is there a way the graders can look at both of the coins as a
comparison for the crossover, (to see in the past that the coin does or did make the grade)
I know you can understand one becomes frustrated when they look
at the coins and the ngc coin is equal to or better than the pcgs coin
yet it will not cross ( or you have to send it in a zillion times)
or the reasons given for non-cross are not consistant with current
coins that are already in pcgs holders. such as uneven toning
or slight haze, or not enough eye appeal???????????

For art, beauty may be in the eye of the beholder...but for coins, beauty is in the eye of the owner.
I've been doing PCGS problem coin reviews off and on for 16 years. I can tell you that over half of the coins sent in for review have no chance of ever receiving the desired grades. The coins just aren't nice enough, but the submitters either don't realize this, or are just trying to take a shot.
