opinions wanted-lot of franklins; sell as one lot, or as individuals.

Have a bunch of Frankllins that are doubles, or coins that were upgraded, nicer toning found, etc. I want to get the cash and put it to better use. Wondering if anybody has ever tried selling a whole lot of coins versus individual pieces.
Not trying to get rich on these and if I had a bluesheet, I'd have them on the buy sell trade board already.
any opinions, ideas, would be appreciated.

  • Monk - can you give us some ideas of dates and grades? If they're below MS64 you might do well to sell them as a lot - but again it all depends.

I have done both, You will get more money if you sell them one at a time, but it's alot more work. Selling them as a lot is alot quicker, one transaction, but less money. I still looking for some frankies, PM a list...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • I agree with MadMarty, but occasionally a lot will get 2 or 3 interested bidders and the ending surprise is a pleasant surprise (but occasionally you will not get much interest and the ending is a disappointment).
