WHOAAAAAAA That looks like the eagle is coming in out of the sunset to spear me with an arrow. Man that has the most perfect even periph tone. I don't say things like this too much but that is one AMAZING coin! Beautiful!!
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • I may be the finest reverse toned Morgan i've ever seen that wasn't in GSAguy's collection.

It is the kind of quality GSAguy has by the dozens. I kid you not.

He has one with an obverse like this AND a reverse like this, raw. I offered him $10,000 for the coin and HE LAUGHED AT ME!

C'mon that photo's gotta be enhanced a little, image if not that is one of the most spectacular coins I have ever layed me eyes upon. Wow! Wow! Wow!

  • My suspicions are that whoever ends up with the coin will be glad to render an opinion about how accurate the color and intensity is
when they give me feedback on the purchase, if i do in fact end up with the coin.

  • I just noticed the word "collector" appeared under my "name". Hmmm....i'm sure that's gonna get me some criticism.

    Adrian,

That color is absolutely unreal, especially considering that the coin is a 98-O. Although it's not on the same level in terms of the rarity and beauty of your coin, here's a reverse toned 80-S that you might think is kinda cute.

  • Andrew - that is absolutely stunning...breathtaking...!

Here's the other side of the 1898-O:

I would be very surprised if there is another 98-O that even comes close to that coin in terms of eye-appeal (unless GSAGUY has one tucked away somewhere). That coin is phenomenal! Thanks for posting the great images.

    That's almost a perfect obv!
Notice I didn't comment on the strike, marks and the usual vitals because on a Morg that looks like that I really don't care. That's a L of a coin!

That '98-O is too sweet; man the reverse is relatively unscathed (at least in the image). In a NGC holder, huh; shouldn't it have a star or planet or something? image

That's in an NGC 64? Is there something hidden on the pic? Sure is a beautiful coin. And so is that 1880-S!
  • Adrian, that's beautiful.

Gilbert I disagree. It doesn't deserve a star, it deserves a galaxy.

    Got Morgan?
  • Adrian, That is a truly amazing coin. I just can't believe the stuff you pull out of your hat!

Album toning at it's finest. What makes it more spectacular as already mentioned, it's a 98-O. Great Coin!!!!!
If It doesn't have great eye appeal, I don't want it.
  • I'd be tempted to keep that one, especially if I thought it was the finest I'd ever seen that wasn't in GSAGUY's collection image

Based on yesterdays "1921 Peace dollar + Stephanie" post, I dare not miss a single Anaconda post anymore. But this one only had a really cool looking coinimage

Really Beautiful...just wet myself. Are you going to provide a link so the rest of us can bid? Or, you just going to keep it for yourself? Your such a tease.

  • Baseball,

What a memory -- that was in fact my NGC MS64 1898-O $1, which sold for $880 a few months back. ANACONDA has purchased quite a few of my coins, a couple directly from me while many others were acquired through third parties.

I can attest to the fact that ANACONDA'S image is indeed accurate because the coin was mine to begin with and it was part of a small group of monster toned dollars I purchased at the Fall 2002 Santa Clara coin show. I just bought a couple more monsters from the same person and will be acquiring more very soon.

  • Mike - thanks for vouching for my image. Man, how can you sell a coin like that? You have the discipline of a Seal (souper elite military group)

I too would have thought....."that Crane boy...he must have been around bondman when he
was contagious..." if i didn't make the images myself.

Mike, if you have any more like that, please feel free to PM me. That is a jaw dropper even for Snake's coins. image
  • Mr Snake,
    BRAVO AND THANKS.
  • Adrian,

Glad to vouch for the image and let me take it a step further -- the reverse is even more vibrant and stunning than the image.
