    Lori,

What service level? Regular ($30) or Economy ($15)?

    As Airplanenut would say "Kewl"!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • Reg $30 slow economy. I didn't expect the grades for another month yet.

WOW! They must love you. My economy one has been there since 1/22. Maybe because it was one coin? Oh wait, do you mean regular or economy? $30 is regular. So that is still early, but not as impressive as if it was the $15 one!

    Lori,

    $30 is regular, not economy.

    Nwcs,

I have one in that hit the 23rd, so we both probably have another couple weeks.image

  • Very good! Could you tell me which service you used, because I just sent a 54 Frankie this AM on the 30 day turnaround. Maybe I will get it sooner than expected! Thanks in advance, Ken
  • Way to go Lori!

  • Sorry. I paid $30 so whatever service that is. I thought it was the 50 day turn around. I am glad I was wrong. image

On 1/28, I logged one batch economy and one regular. The ecomony completed 2/14 and the regular 2/17. I already have both packages returned in the mail! Looks like I got really lucky.

  • Lori,
From here on out, I'm going to send my coins to you for submission. You're results are far more consistant!

    Congrats on another great find!

    Lori,

It's a very nice looking coin and I'm happy for you. But, it's probably not worth much more (in the holder as an MS64)
than the grading fee, itself, that you paid for it. It's something to keep in mind when you submit coins for grading.
  • I am not getting the coin graded to sell. It is for me.

    Lori,

That's all the more reason to spend less for a slower grading tier/service. I'm just tryng to save you money and don't mean to rain on your parade.
  • I am only a silver member and have no choice but to spend the $30 if I want PCGS to grade it. I guess I cant win. I do some at ANACS because it is cheaper and faster and get comments about why didn't I use PCGS and then I use PCGS and the coin graded is not worth the slabbing fee. Guess I can't win. I liked the coin, PCGS is suppose to be the best for judging AT coins so I decided to do this one there. Most thought my other Morgan was AT and I did not want to spend the big bucks image to have PCGS possibly body bagging it. ANACS still would have slabbed it with a note on the slab saying AT. I figured at least I would get it slabbed if it was AT.

Like I said the coins are for me right now. Hopefully when I do decide to sell they will be worth a LOT more then what they are worth now.

    Lori,

I've spent lots of money getting coins slabbed that aren't worth much more than the grading fee.image When I first started, I did boatloads of them just so I could learn to grade my series.

  • Lori, You do what you want to do with your coins. They are yours and only yours. I see a lot of comments about things here sometimes that lead me to believe that some people are not in this to collect coins, rather to collect $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! Ken
  • Just got another email that it was shipped today too.

Wow. Grades posted and shipped on the same day. They must be getting better huh or maybe that $50 I slipped them worked. image

  • Lori,
Don't let them deflate you. As I've said before, this hobby needs less of them, and more of you.
