He has guts and a new high bidder on his offering.
  • Thats one of those super rare coins that they forgot to put the denomination on. You can make it any value you want. It's not even a coin. What idiots are bidding on these?

Where does it say COPY on the coin? Looks like a repo to me, thought it had to say copy???

It only has to say COPY when it is a copy. They made subtle design changes on it so it's not a copy. Take a look at the bottom of the reverse.

I'm getting the distinct impression that this one is a kid.

Wayne - "he" said to tell you thanks.

    Mark,

Tell him "thanks" for me too. It's a mutual pleasure.

  • Good thing scamcrook is "buying" these up. Else some unknowledgeable persons would get cheated and maybe be turned off from coin collecting forever when they find out.

  • I saw a full page ad in CW or NN awhile ago selling these for $9.99. What a joke.

I've been eMailing back and forth with this seller trying to get him to do the right thing. The last one I got from him was a copy and paste of the sales info for these trinkets. I'm convinced this is a kid.

Edit: I thought these "information only" auctions were a violation of eBay policy.

I also had email correspondence and believe/hope he just doesn't know what he's doing.
  • Coinguy1, may I interest you in a lovely bridge that we have for sale? It's big and red and located in San Francisco. It also generates good income as you can stand in the middle of the road with a cup and collect tolls from all of those cars driving on your bridge. It is appraised at $250,000,000, but you can have it for just $5,000 (cash, of course).

......he knows what he is doing.
