I love the Franklin series and have been buying them for over 35 years. I really like the idea of Franklin set building as this is an important series, yet it's relatively short, and still reasonably priced. I enjoy the idea of FBLs. I like the way the proofs look, especially the Cameos and Deep Cameos. In short, I'm a big fan.
In terms of the market, Franklins are somewhat slow now. They've been hot for quite a few years and they got hot long before the other 20th Century series. It seems logical to me that the market would back off a little. I think Franklins will stay slow this year, but I expect things to pick up in 2004 as this is a very popular series. Franklins just need a little rest.
I'm also a big fan of Ben Franklin the man...and all the other Founding Fathers for that matter.
